Whippet/pointer mix - Female

In Foster - VA beach Va

Meet Nayla! This is what her foster mom had to say: Nayla is a whippet/pointer mix. She weights about 50lbs, 7 years old. She is houstrained and crate trained. When I work she is free to roam the living room and kitchen. She has not had any accidents since she came to me and does not chew up things except she is hard on toys but do isn't my Doxies. Lol. She does have a passion for paper towels so I make sure there is none in the trash she can get to. She had Heartworm meds today. She loves little dogs but not so much bigger ones or her size. She thinks she is there size. She is crate trained but I let her sleep in bed with me and the Doxies so she is spoiled. I have not had her around cats but in the yard she does not chase birds or squirrels. Her best friend in the house is Max. Chi/doxie mix. When she wants to play she will use her paw to get him started. I feed her a mix of pedigree salmon and a grain free. When I first got her she itched a lot and licked her paws constantly. so tried this and hardly itches and no more licking. There will be an adoption process and adoption fee

Hound mix - Female

In Foster - Chesapeake, Va

We just picked this sweet girl up from our friends at the Isle of Wight county animal shelter. She will be headed to her amazing foster family in Chesapeake this evening and as she settles in and adjusts we will have more pictures and info posted! Ice, Ice, Baby!! This show stopping beauty is just as sweet as anything. A little nervous at first because she is still adjusting to her new dreams of being a house puppy! Her breathtaking eyes will captivate you more as you fall in love with this gentle soul. Ice is a hound mix that we have estimated to be between 3-5 years old and weighs roughly 40 pounds. She is up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative. However due to her thin size she will have to wait to be spayed until we can get a few more pounds on her. We will try again in a couple weeks (beginning-mid February.)

Cane Corso - Female

In foster - Hampton, Va

Meet Luna!! This big girl is 90 lbs and pretty skinny, she needs to gain a good 20 lbs. She is only 3 years old and has spent her life discarded like a lawn ornament. Her "owners" then abandoned her and she eventually found her way into one of our local shelters. This girl is current on vaccines, spayed but is unfortunately heartworm positive. She will begin treatment soon. So far we can tell you she is great with dogs, loves kids and is housebroken. Pending cat test. She will not get on the furniture. We believe she might've been abused in the past as she is very scared at first and when you raise your hands above her, even if it's to get a cup out of a cabinet. She loves walks and going for car rides. And is great in the house so no need to crate her. She is the sweets girl and does not have a mean bone in her body. She does have a foster home lined up, but we would love to get her into a forever home soon - we would need to do a "foster to adopt" while she completes her heartworm treatment.

Great Dane - Female

In Foster - Hampton Va

Meet Abbey!! This gorgeous 5 year old Great Dane is a total sweet heart. She needs a very patient home, where she can gain her confidence and build trust with her new owners. She would be best in a home with older kids, as she does have hip dysplasia. We are still getting to know her and as we get pictures and information, we will post it! She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on vaccines. She walks great on a leash, rides well in a car and appears to be housebroken. She has been great with the dogs that she has met so far big and small. And appeared to even be fine with cats. However, if you have other pets a meet and greet is required. Abbey has alittle bit of time before she will be available for adoption, but we just wanted to introduce you to our beautiful girl! Once ready, there will be an adoption application and contract and adoption fee.
